Heathfield Senior School

At Heathfield, we believe that education is more than just a preparation for employment and our statement ‘Preparing for Tomorrow’s World’ reflects this. We aim to realise the potential of the whole person and encourage girls to flourish in a stimulating, safe and friendly environment. To this end, the curriculum is designed to combine the best of our academic success with opportunities to develop creative, practical and technological skills for life. Opportunities to excel in academic subjects are balanced by the social and enterprise skills acquired in the Personal and Professional Development Programme.

Our academic success has gone from strength to strength with experienced and enthusiastic teachers ensuring our girls work hard and attain excellent results.

Academic results are well above national levels with 100% pass rates at A-Level. Heathfield School appears in the following league tables:

Daily Telegraph 2006 A-Level League tables (Saturday 10th March 2007) - ranked Heathfield School number 7 with 81.82 points

The Times Schools Report (11th January 2007) lists Heathfield School as the top school in the Borough of Harrow and in the Top 50 Independents for GCSEs.

The Senior School has over 400 girls and each year enrols 3 classes in Year 7, with no more than 22 girls in each class. Some girls come from our own Junior department but we are also very pleased to welcome girls from other schools. Our small size is one of our strengths - large enough to offer stimulating competition but small enough to ensure that everyone knows each other and individuals are valued.

We offer a wide programme of extra-curricular activities including Sports, Music, Drama, Debating, Duke of Edinburgh Award plus many others.
