Parent and Teacher Links

If a formal interview is required, an appointment with the class teacher, Head of Year, Deputy Head or Headmistress can easily be made. We can also deal quickly and informally with any issues over the telephone on the same day.

Parents' Evenings

Parents are invited to an annual consultation evening in the Autumn or Spring Terms. Class teachers write a progress report in the Autumn and Summer Terms. Some year groups in the Senior School also benefit from a ‘Meet the Tutor’ afternoon, at stages in a girl’s school career.

In the Junior School, reports are sent home every term and two parents’ evenings per year.

Curriculum Evenings

In the Junior School, at the beginning of each academic year the class teachers will address their new class parents as regards the expectations of the forthcoming year. In the Senior School, Year 10 and Year 12 parents are invited to attend an evening meeting to explain the GCSE and A-Level course respectively.

The School Newsletter

There is a fortnightly Newsletter for the school available on the website. Awareness to parents of important school issues and trips is emphasized by the circulation of individual letters.

The GSA also produce a newsletter called MyDaughter, which provides useful tips to parents.
